Indian Warship foiled a plot to steal the Iranian-flagged fishing vessel Al Naeemi, which was cruising off the East Coast of Somalia.

Somalia - The United States announced $9 million in military aid to the Somali special unit "Danab" (Mogadishu government), which is active against al-Shabaab Mujahideen. The aid includes heavy machine guns, military vehicles, ammunition and medical supplies. US provides air support to "Dunb" forces.
